Led by Bishop Robert McGuckin, the Catholic Diocese of Toowoomba comprises 35 parishes, reaching from the Great Dividing Range in the east, south to the New South Wales Border and west to the Northern Territory and South Australian borders. The Catholic Schools Office (CSO) is the educational executive arm of the Bishop. The CSO employs more than 1,600 staff to support the learning of over 10,000 children in 31 schools.
The CIO leads a team which develops and implements the ICT component of the strategic planning framework for the system of 31 schools, ensuring high levels of integration with education and corporate strategies to reinforce the Diocese’s strategic objectives and directions. The CIO is a member of the Senior Coordination Team, which reports to the Executive Leadership Team.
