Catholic Education Services within the Diocese of Cairns comprises twenty primary schools, two Prep to Year 12 colleges, and seven secondary colleges. Schools are clustered around the populous centres of Cairns, the Atherton Tablelands to the west and the Innisfail/Johnstone district to the south. All schools, except the most remote school on Thursday Island and its campus on Hammond Island, are within two hours driving time of Cairns.
Reporting to the Deputy Executive Director, this role exists to support the core purpose of the School Improvement Directorate to enable principals and school leadership teams to create great catholic schools. The position is responsible to provide Catholic Educational Leadership through Governance and Leadership Support; School Renewal and Improvement; and Community Engagement to support the Mission of Catholic Education in the Diocese of Cairns.
Intending applicants must be fully supportive of the ethos of Catholic Education and have experience as a secondary Principal and/or Prep to Year 12 College. This position would be ideal for a secondary/Prep to Year 12 Principal taking the next step in their career.
